Wilderness Tsavo
Tsavo is in Kenya close to the city of Mombasa located near Voi Town in Taita Taveta County. It comprises of two National Park which is separated by the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway including the railway line passing though the middle of the park. It is Unique and special because the park hosts a Rare Red Dusted Elephant which cannot be seen anywhere in the world but roam freely in large numbers. The park is operated by Kenya Wildlife Service.
Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya at 13,747 square kilometres. Providing undeveloped wilderness homes to vast numbers of animals. Famous are the Tsavo lions, a population whose adult males often lack manes entirely.
Tsavo West National Park – Together with adjoining ranches and protected areas, they comprise the Tsavo Conservation Area. Tsavo West is a more popular destination on account of its magnificent scenery, Mzima Springs, rich and varied wildlife, good road system, rhino reserve, rock climbing potential and guided walks along the Tsavo River.
Animals include: Elephants, Aardwolf, Yellow baboon, Cape buffalo, cheetah, Bushbuck, Caracal, African civet ,Kirk’s dik-dik, African wild dog, African dormouse, Bush duiker ,fox, gazelle, Gerenuk, jackal, Impala, Hyn, Hyrax, Hartebeest, hedgehog, African Savana hare, genet, mangoose, monkey, squirrel, rhinoceros, reedbuck, oryx, Leopard, kudu, Ground pangolin, Crested porcupine, warthog, zebra, waterbuck.
